UPDATE 1-Verizon Wireless names Andrew Davies CFO

NEW YORK, Sept 9 (Reuters) - Verizon Wireless said on Thursday its next Chief Financial Officer would be Andrew Davies, who is moving from the Indian unit of Vodafone Group Plc , 45 percent owner of the biggest US mobile service.
